Today I visited four Ngo’s. Around 6:45am we went to visit ‘Akshaya Patra’. The Founder of this organization is Mr. Madhusudan Das Pandit. Presently it is working in seven states of India. Main aim of this Organization is no one child away from education because of hunger. They prepare rice, Sambar and Chapatti. For Dharwad dist they give food to one lakh eighty two thousands children. In this organization four hundred employees are working. We saw preparation of cooking. It was very good. First we saw store room. In that they store rice, dhal and oil. Government of India provides them rice. The quality of rice is not good because there are stones, mud, iron and cotton pieces mixed in the rice. They maintain cleaning very well. They have rice cleaning machine and capacity of the machine is 5 to 6 tone for one hour. It separates all iron, stone and mud particles. They cooked rice by steam cooker. One cooker capacity is 100kg and one tone rice cooked within ten minutes.
They have food safety management system. They check quality of the food daily. Only because of machine they cook two lakh meals within five hours. There is special pump made in U.S.
They do not use of fire for cooking. There is Steamer for cooking, it is safety for cooking. When food is ready, they packed it and send it to through vehicle school. They supply food for 800 schools.
Really they are doing such a great job for our country. When I saw this organization suddenly I remember a slogan, ‘Service of a man is service of the God’
