Agasthya Foundation

We went to visit another organization, which is ‘Agasthya Foundation’. There was science exhibition. Physics, Chemistry and Biology three separate sections are there. They maintain good laboratory. The aim of this organization is to give the knowledge of science to each and every high school of India. There are trained Instructors and they give all information about laboratory. They made some funny experiments. They have separate museum for animal and human study. In chemistry, they showed some organanic and inorganic experiments. Presently this foundation working at Bangalore and Hubli in the Karnataka state. I saw some different types of snakes and some embryo of human which was not developed. I got lot of information about science.
Afternoon 12:3o pm we went to visit ‘Toxic Link’ organization. Project coordinator of this organization is Shri. Sidharaiswami. This organization works on biomedical waste management and mercury disposal management and E-waste (electronic waste management. This organization is working in 12 states. Their target is HDMC hospitals. At first they do survey of hospital, which is KAP survey means knowledge, aptitude and practice. Mercury used in hospital. In thermometer and Spigmameter mercury is there. So if apparatus will break then proper handling of mercury is very dangerous for health worker. For that they should give training. After training they give digital thermometer and BP apparatus. In the biomedical waste, contaminated waste material like cotton, bandage put into the red bin. In black bin paper wastes and in green bin reusable waste material is there.
